With the publishing of the 2024 Best Bar None Scotland Assessment document the team in Glasgow arranged a evening session to go through what is expected of premises to meet the standards set out to be successful this year.

Glasgow’s licensees are being urged to see if they have what it takes to earn BBN’s Gold, Silver or Bronze accolades for good practice and innovation, with new entrants in particular invited to get involved. Strathclyde University’s Student Union, The Venue, on Richmond Street, was the host the registration event on today Wednesday, April 24th.

On Wednesday 6th March, Fife held their Best Bar None Scotland award ceremony at Glenrothes Police Headquarters. Over 25 premises were welcomed by Chief Superintendent Derek McEwan, the Divisional Commander for Fife.

Twenty Four venues were recognised under the Best Bar None Scheme for their outstanding efforts in helping to create a safer environment for the public.

Heart of Midlothian Football Club had the pleasure of hosting the recent Edinburgh Best Bar None awards night.

Known as the “Bystander Approach” the training is designed to equip people with the tools and confidence to safely intervene in situations, where they see people are vulnerable and at risk of harm.
